New fences and bollards installed

We have a new security fence near the south-east corner of HM, protecting access to the eastern garden and offering better security to the apartments on the ground floor. It should also reduce the amount of graffiti on the expressway wall.

Surprised to see bollards installed at the top and bottom of the driveway along the southern side of HM. I guess that confirms we will be driving up and down Jones Street because there will be no through way to Jones Lane (although I think the garbage truck will come this way).

There is a new timber fence along the southern boundary. The old fence belonging to the terrace was falling over and thankfully, Ceerose did not just patch it up - they covered it completely.

  1. Thank you, Elana for these pictures. Looks like all these last minute additions may have been council requirements. It also means we will have to somehow drive via Jones Street, as no circular traffic will be allowed. I don't see how it will be possible to drive via Jones St. Until the first accident. But... let's move in first and sort this out later. Looks like settlement this week is not possible, as no news from Jason :-(

    1. Jason sent an email to my solicitor this morning saying that they were hoping to get an update from the LPI about strata registration later today.

  2. Thank you for the update Elana. Looks like Ceerose is leaving the issue to the new residents to deal with council and Roads Authority regarding this matter of ingress/egress harbour mill. That's probably why they were silent about this issue when asked. Any feedback from others?

  3. Unless they install some signal device at the two ends of Jone st I don't see how this could work. There are residential street parking all the time , which means the outbound traffic from HM will have to evade if there is any room on the parking line . MESSY

  4. There's not much that can be done now but once we move in we can start doing some lobbying. The footpath is very big in Jones street. There's no reason why they couldn't half the footpath to widen the road. I know there's trees involved but they can do what they've done in Glebe and have parking between the trees (if that's understandable) or could replant. There is plenty of room if they don't want to upset the residence of Jones st by taking their parking away. They'll have to do something (not sure how long it would take them)because there's going to be a lot of cars going in and out of HM. Anyway we need to get in first.

  5. Agree. Move in first and then lobby. Has anyone's solicitor heard anything from Jason re: Strata Plan?

    1. Thats what my solicitor sent to me in an official letter, I hope they're wrong. i don't understand IF the Strata got registered today why it would take that long. I have a very teary wife and can't believe this is happening. We're staying positive, our son arrives from Paris on Friday, so hopefully we'll have at least a booked settlement date by the end of the week telling us when next week.

  9. Thanks George... If anyone hears anything from Jason / Solicitors re: whether the strata has been registered - could you please post here straight away. I am holding our lease termination notice and want to send it asap but worried about the strata registration - what if there is another hold-up to prevent us settling in the next few weeks. On top of this, we are going into the dangerous Christmas zone when it may become more problematic to find removalists and cleaners.
