The carpark under the southeast corner, start of February 2014

The excavation has reached the bottom at the southern end of the building. These three storeys of carpark will be under a five storey building, whereas there will be ten storeys at the northern end.

The first photograph shows the builders reaching the bottom and putting in the foundations.

This photograph shows they have almost reached the top of the old flour mill, and will soon remove the steel frame which has held up the facade for 13 years. I bet that's a relief to the developer, as the old building will be firmly secured to the new.
