There has been even more significant progress over the last couple of weeks, despite the huge amount of rain we have had in Sydney lately.

In the bottom right hand corner of this photo you can see the beginning of the garden that they are creating. Next to this, you can see that they have started on the first apartment. The apartment that is one floor up from this spot will be my apartment.

In the photo below you can see the ramp to the carpark that is being built.

30 March - Checking out the light rail route

We took a trip on the newly extended light rail, from the stop outside the apartment, right round to the last stop in Dulwich Hill and back again, to see where it went and what interesting things there were to see along the way. It was a fun ride, and exciting to think of all the possibilities of places I could go, with the tram stop right outside the building.

It was interesting seeing the building site from a different angle. The facade looks a lot bigger than I had seen it, and I was able to see just how close the light rail was to where I was going to be living. It was all starting to feel very real.

When the building is finished, the fence that you can see in the first photo will be taken down, and I will be able to push myself from my place, directly to the light rail.
