Three more items finished, and ... "Sometime this month"

THANKS FOR MAKING OVER 30,000 VIEWS OF OUR BLOG!!!

Visited on a beautiful Saturday, and good to see a few things 'finished'.

The 'grain loader' house (we need a name for it) looks good, sparkling in the sun now the scaffolding has been removed. It will be a distinct landmark and add to HM's uniqueness.

The path from the stairs to the light rail has also been completed.

Plus the stairs themselves have been paved, and are now looking very handsome, much better than leaving the concrete exposed.

But the front of the site, near the entry to the car park, still needs a lot of work, so we did not photograph that.

We asked a worker on the site when he will be finished. "Ask the boss," he said, pointing back to the building. "Sometime this month." We're grateful for small mercies.

  1. Thanks so much for these updates! For years I've been looking for more detailed updates about HM but the virtually yearly newsletters from Ceerose weren't just enough. Luckily a friend sent me a link to this blog my wife and I were completely gobsmacked at the wonderful work you have done.

For what it's worth, I've been monitoring HM differently - in terms of NBN rollout. If you enter the HM address in the following web page it says the rollout hasn't started, but if you look at the map it looks like it's well and truly ready. Can't wait!

Also, it's good to see that final section of scaffolding being taken down. It's been a long time standing on it's own, but told myself it's removal would be a sign that the place would be ready to move in very soon after. Guess this looks to be the case.

    Thanks again.

    Thanks!

  2. Hi, glad you're 'gobsmacked', we've enjoyed doing it. Thanks for the NBN information. We'll take a look.Good internet is essential. Hope we can all meet at an 'opening party' on the roof.

  3. Opening party sounds like a great idea :-) perhaps we could organise a neighbours bbq get together on a Saturday or Sunday a few weeks after all move in (to allow time to settle a bit).

  4. Agree, allow a bit of time to settle and arrange, then get together. It will be good to be part of a community, not a group of anonymous people who see each other every day.
